Last week I had a wonderful opportunity from Collective Bias and Murphy USA to attend the World’s Largest Social Media Conference Blog World in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. Yes, it was a whirlwind of activity and going from one session to another or going to this party or that one, but it was AMAZING. It was by far the best conference I have attended as a blogger. The sessions ranged from health care, travel blogging, food blogging, podcasts & video, to monetization and social media. I have files on my laptop and traditional notes. My favorite session was Chris Garrett (Web geek and co-author of ProBloggerBook.com) and how he talked about finding more readers and engaging those you have because after all without YOU all I would be nothing. 🙂
Las Vegas…..is truly everything everyone says about it and more. I’m just a small town girl from McMinnville, TN so just walking the strip was electrifying. I felt like I was in a movie. Each hotel was swankier and had more exotic things to look at than the last. I was amazed at how bright the night was. We went to the Viva Elvis Show by Cirque Du Soleil. WOW. The music. The storyline. The performers. THAT is how I pictured a Vegas show and boy did they not disappoint.
Networking and meeting new people and other bloggers is by far my favorite part of any conference or meet up. Here is a list of some fabulous people you should know. I’m trying to list everyone, but there are a few people I didn’t grab a business card from. If your one of those people PLEASE leave a comment or email me so I can list you!
