“created in New Zealand and is an ice bar where you can touch, feel, and explore handcrafted ice sculptures and ice architecture made from 100% pure Canadian ice. Named for its constant frosty temperature of minus five degrees (twenty-seven degrees Fahrenheit), thousands have flocked to experience this unique concept.”
When we arrived we packed all of our cameras, phones, and shoes in a locker then put on our winter gear. We put on cute blue sanitary socks with some comfy warm Uggs, our Minus5 Parka, and some gloves. Then we walked through the magic door to our Winter Wonderland! True to form it was cold, but super fun! Like it says EVERYTHING is made of ice; the walls, the bar, the sculptures, the seats and even the glasses. They serve you famous vodka-based cocktails like the Ice Man, Icy Margarita, and more. Make sure to grab your glass with both hands so it doesn’t slip out of your hands!
While you are sitting on the ice couches covered in deer skin a photographer wanders around to take pictures of your party enjoying the atmosphere. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Minus5 penguin roaming around, but watch out he’s a little randy!
Want to check out Minus5 for yourself? They have 2 locations in Vegas. One at the Mandalay Bay and the other at The Monte Carlo. Make sure to sign up to become a V ICE P to get the “coolest” deals. You can also follow them on twitter and facebook to keep yourself in the loop with all the happenings. Want to see what it’s like inside for yourself? Watch the youtube video below!
