If you have school aged children then you get at least 2 or 3 letters from the school a year attempting to “bribe” your child to sell things. What I try to tell my kids is that the prizes aren’t worth much. They may get a SpongeBob t-shirt, a paper airplane that does loop de loops or even the dreaded musical instrument that makes a lot of noise, but where is the value in these gifts? Yeah, the kid who sells the most gets a brand new bike, but honestly selling cookies to grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, and cousins isn’t going to amount to much.
So when I got an email about Big Event Fundraising regarding their school fundraiser ideas, I thought hmmmm maybe this is the answer. Imagine the prize is entry to a Magic show or a super party where there are inflatables and more. They even have a Reptile Adventures Party. Yep you read that right. A REPTILE PARTY where you can see and touch various reptiles like snakes and lizards. Gabriel would go nuts over that plus it’s educational so you get more bang for the buck. I printed out one of their brochures to give to the kids teachers who can pass it on to the PTO. I mean as far as school fundraising goes this would be fun, unique, and different. I’ll keep you posted about what they say! What do you think? Cool or not?
