Growing up my mom had a glass dining table almost like the one pictured above except see how that one has wood? My moms dining table sets had big iron trellises underneath. I can’t tell you how many times my sister or I tripped and fell over them. Eventually I think one of us might have slammed something down on the glass and made a scratch. So I made it a point when we got one it would be a more modern dining table. Right now we are using Brian’s sisters which is made completely out of wood, but only has 3 chairs at the moment so one of us adults always ends up eating on the couch. I have my eye on a larger one. Made out of a darker wood. A table that would seat 8 comfortably, but not take up too much room. Look at the one below:
Isn’t it beautiful? It’s a Somerton Cirque Oval Leaf Casual Dining Table in Merlot Finish and right now it’s my dream table. Sturdy, beautiful, and enough seats. Plus the price isn’t too bad at only $547. The thing that always gets me on these pretty tables is how expensive the chairs are. So you end up spending more on the chairs than you do the actual table. What does your dining room table look like? Do you eat every meal at the table? How many does it sit? I’d love to know!
