I’ve been a member of Amazon for several years now, and what I see on there never really ceases to amaze me. There are times I look at product listings and think… “What in the WORLD?“, and there are other times, I think “Did someone really spend money on that?” Then of course, I occasionally stumble on something and think… “RIGHT ON! Why didn’t I think of that?”
My favorite thing to check out are the “Frequently Bought Together” items, and most of the time, I know that Amazon has a sneaky grandma in the background pairing all these items up to drive us crazy.
Today, I was looking for stuff for our new baby, due at the end of September, and a random Folding Trampoline with Handlebars popped up. I was thinking that it was some kind of “get back in shape after baby”, but it wasn’t. First of all, my kids would literally be in the ER within minutes if we had this thing, but I dismissed that thought because I really don’t have to purchase it, and I did as I always do and looked down on the page a little:
Jump + Spin + Bounce = Fill in the Blank
Because I’m nosy, I kinda want to know exactly how many times these have to be bought together, to hit the “Frequently” status? As a mom of almost four kiddos, all I can think while looking at this combination of toys is “Why isn’t carpet cleaner added to that list?” because you know someone is getting sick!
Because the messier the gifts, the better?

Have you seen these Crayola Colored Bubbles? As if the bubbles alone don’t make a big enough mess! The need a launcher and wand
set to help out!

My only conclusion is that many of these combinations are purchased “frequently” by either grandparents for life’s paybacks, OR single aunts or uncles with no children as a way to get their siblings back for the ghosts of rivalry past.
I guess in some cruel way, we probably deserve it!
