When we arrived back at The Essex House it was time to get Red Carpet Ready. I had the dress and the shoes. Now I just needed to transform myself from mom to glam. All in all it took about an hour and half. Not too shabby if you ask me and while I might not have been mistaken for anyone I was floating on Cloud 9.
Now that everyone was ready we all piled in our 2 vans like the good mommy bloggers we are. Then I can say that’s when things got a wee bit crazy. We started with 2 vans and somehow the van that had our wonderful Disney PR Rep Marshall in it and all the LOCAL NY Bloggers in it did a u-turn and ended up where and when they were supposed to be. While our poor driver kept getting us further and further away. Then it started with a wee voice way in the back. Jeana Bo Beana started saying “Let me out of the car please.”…….”Let me out of the car please”……”I NEED OUT OF THE CAR PLEASE.” So we opened the door up and BAM Craziness insued.
Bloggers went this way. Bloggers went that way. Bloggers got in pedicabs. I was following Caryn as she had a GPS in her phone and had been to NYC before. So we started running through the streets of New York. Dodging, jumping, sideling through the mass of ppl and things trying to get to the Red Carpet. Marshall rang to check in with me and I said “I have 5 or 6 bloggers with me. I’m not sure where everyone else is.” He said “Do you feel confident you can make it here.” “YES. We can make it.” So a sweaty 10 blocks later we see the beautiful red carpet. At this point we were only worried about getting inside and watching the movie, but it was quite an adventure to get there!
