Remember when I went out to the #DisneyPixarEvent back in April? Well now I can talk more about it. For the Press day we were split up into groups and I was in the lovely Macguffin Group. (Try saying that 5 times real fast) The first things we learned about were Kilts. Kilts are actually quite fascinating. Basically a kilt is a “knee-length garment with pleats at the rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands of the 16th century.” Which I kinda knew. I also was happy that I recognized a plaid called Tartan Plaid. Now I’ll be honest and say I really had no clue what that meant I just knew Tartan plaid because I have so many scarves. Now do you know what a sporran is? Neither did I. It’s basically a pouch or in my languarge a man purse that hangs around the waist. They can be plain or highly decorated. Our kilt wearer said he keeps his cell phone in his. I’ll also let you in on a little secret that I know your DyING to know. Nope. there is nothing, nada, zip, zilch under a kilt. Which can either be a bad thing or kinda hot. Check out a few pics below of our lovely entertainers in Kilts. I’ll also say a lovely Scottish accent goes a LONG way if you know what I mean.
***Disclosure: I attended #DisneyPixarEvent . My flight, lodgings, and expenses were covered by Disney. All opinions are 100% mine.***
