Ever Feel Like You've Read Every Good Book Out There?

As you all know, I read….a lot. Some (*cough* my husband *cough) may even call it a “problem”. What can I say? I love a good book. The ones where you got lost in the pages and sink off to another world. A world of magic, epic love, paranormal, supernatural, crazy, thriller, or horrific lands. I mix it up. I’ll read a YA novel, then something scary, then a paranormal romance, etc. Today I feel like I’ve read every good book out there. There’s nothing new coming out that I’m waiting on for at least 3 weeks or more. I’ve recently re-read all my go to books so much that I’m over it. Nothing seems to pop out at me and I’ve been slowly filling up my normal reading time with crazy insane people on reality tv shows like doomsday preppers or the Amish Mafia. I NEED a good book to read. The last 2 books I read were:

clockworkprince

The Twelve

Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices) and The Twelve (Book Two of The Passage Trilogy): A Novel both of which were EXTREMELY good. I’ve searched GoodReads for suggestions and it seems like every book on there is about “A 17 year old girl torn between two guy.” Yuck. I’m over that plot line.

So what do you do when you’ve read every good book you can think of? How do you find new books?

I’m the same way, my husband says I’m constantly reading! I read a little bit of everything though and find a lot of new books on Amazon. I just read 11/22/63 by Stephen King.

I love to read too and am tired of all stories being about the undead!

I am addicted to going through my Amazon recommendations and adding stuff to my wish list. I also use Good Reads recommendations. I downloaded the app for my tablet, and it’s actually a lot easier to browse your recommendations. Just swipe and add, swipe and add. It’s fun!

I listen to friends, read reviews, or return to favorite authors. Just finished The Round House by Louise Erdrich and found it compelling.
