***Disclosure: This post on making a difference in the world through your own photography is brought to you by Johnson & Johnson and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.
Johnson & Johnson want you to help give back by simply donating a photo. Sounds Easy right?
Donate a Photo is a brand-new free app that allows consumers to give back to causes they care about and make a difference through one simple act – taking a photo. For every photo shared through Donate a Photo, the Company will donate one dollar to one of its non-profit partners, which each consumer chooses from a rotating list; up to four activities will be listed at any given time*
Donating is simple: Just visit healthyessentials.com/our-caring to find out how to download the free Donate a Photo app and register to get started, then choose a cause, upload a photo and share it on Facebook and Twitter to show the actions and impact to friends and followers and encourage them to get involved in helping the causes, too
I dowloaded the app in the apple app store. (I have an iphone 4s) and was able to create an account in about a minute. VERY easy. I chose to help the Save The Children and used a fun sunset photo I took a few weeks ago. Within minutes my photo was shared both on fb and twitter using the right hashtags (I didn’t even have to put them in) and I helped a newborn thrive. You can upload 1 pic per day and with it being that easy why would you not take a few moments out of your busy day for a good cause?
While all donations must be made through a mobile device, the experience (including a photo gallery, progress achieved for each charity, etc.) will be accessible to anyone, on any device, from mobile phones to tablets to desktop computers. Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies has been committed to caring for the community for more than 125 years; with the Healthy Essentials™ and Donate a Photo initiatives, the Company reinforces this commitment by offering savings to families and helping those in need
It’s April. That means Spring Cleaning and stocking up on all the essentials. Which for me includes lots of Bandaids for Isabella. That kid will go through a box a month. I’ll also be stocking up on NEUTROGENA®, BAND-AID® Brand, LISTERINE®, AVEENO®, NEOSPORIN®, VISINE® and others since I can easily grab some printable coupons over at: www.healthyessentials.com. PLUS The Healthy Essentials™ coupon book will appear in local newspapers across the country on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
Now onto the Giveaway!
*Johnson & Johnson has curated a list of trusted causes, and you can donate a photo to one cause, once a day. Each cause will appear in the app until it reaches its goal, or the donation period ends. If the goal isn’t reached, the cause will still get a minimum donation.
