***Disclosure: I’m attended The #SMP13 Event at the Chicago Auto Show. My flight, lodgings, and expenses were covered by Nissan. All opinions are 100% mine. ***
When I was at the Chicago Auto Show in February I came across a cool concept car that had my jaw dropped to the floor. It gave ma a case of “Ohhhh I want that!” It’s the Toyota Fun Vii. Which stands for “Fun Interactive Internet” and Toyota says it “heralds a future where people, cars and society are linked.”
Check out this video below to see how Alex Shen gives you “a balance of digital expression and physical expression” with this concept car.
Called a mobile mood ring by some, the Fun Vii is designed to instantly change inside and out. Its massive LED-screen exterior not only allows a personalized display on the outside, but is also engineered to connect with roadways, infrastructure and other cars on the interior. It can even recognize you when you walk up to it. This, combined with innovations in augmented reality, lets us look at the mobility of tomorrow in a surprising new light.
- As a girl- I can change the color of my car with my mood. Or even put a fun graphic, etc.
- As a mom- I can stay in contact with family super easy.
- As a tech nerd- The features are endless, but navigation concierge, reading a book during gridlock, getting work done, car driving itself, and more.
What do you think? Cool? Crazy? I’d love to know!
