Salty Sow is the nation’s newest head to tail restaurant serving local & sustainable ingredients in a modern farmhouse atmosphere.
It was a beautiful day when we pulled into Salty Sow. Even the name gets you excited….Salty Sow. GREAT Atmosphere. We were all a bit tired, but as soon as we walked into the building, you could feel the energy of the place. You can see the cooks cooking all around you and the smell is mouth watering. You KNOW this is going to be some good food. The staff were super friendly and brought us out a few things to test before our meals.
One thing that I tried, but didn’t think I would like is Crispy Brussel Sprout Leaves with golden raisins, & pecorino. WOW the flavor packed into these brussel sprouts were off the charts! PLUS, I’m a picky eater, but these were super yummy. For my main meal I had the Crisp Chicken Thighs, fried smashed potato, neck bone gravy. Delish! It took be back to my southern roots with every bite. Of course, I had to order the Miss Piggy which was: pomegranate juice, rosemary syrup, bubbles. A great little drink.
