From DreamWorks Pictures comes “Delivery Man,”the story of affable underachiever David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn), whose mundane life gets twisted in a knot when he finds out that he fathered 533 children via sperm donations he made twenty years earlier. In debt to the mob, rejected by his pregnant girlfriend, things couldn’t look worse for David when he’s hit with a lawsuit from 142 of the 533 twentysomethings who want to know the identity of the donor. As David struggles to decide whether or not he should reveal histrue identity, he embarks on a journey that leads him to discover not only his true self but the father he could become as well.
Once you’ve stuffed your face with all the turkey you could eat grab your significant other and head out to your local theater to catch Delivery Man. It’s the Perfect Date Movie!
Vince Vaughn known for his more comedic roles brings his heart and soul to the role of David Wozniak aka Starbuck. The biological father of 533 children and 1 more on the way. Yes, there’s some great fun moments in the film, but overall it’s a story about love and being accepted…..no matter who you are. When we first meet David he’s kind of lost. He’s unreliable at everything. His job, being a boyfriend, even being a brother and son. He realizes that through a mistake he has fathered 533 children and at first he has the response that anyone would have…WHAT?!
Slowly, he gets to know each one of the kids and realizes he can be their “guardian angel” by performing small Random Acts of Kindness in their lives. Therefore touching each kid in a special way. Which in turn shapes him into the man he’s meant to become.
Chris Pratt brings the laughs in every scene he is in and is sooo relateable as a loving father of 4 himself. Colbie Smulders also brings heart to the film as the woman in love with flawed David. I won’t spoil you, but this is one to be seen in the theater with your honey. Don’t just take my word for it. Although I do happen to be in this national TV commerical!! (SQUEE!)
