***Disclosure:I was offered a service to facilitate my review provided by Spa Week.***
It’s almost time for one of my FAVORITE times of the year SPA WEEK! Spa week is a bi-annual event focused on the personal health and wellness of consumers. Every April and October, hundreds of spa and wellness locations across North America provide two to three full-service spa treatments for just $50 each, offering everyone access to the spa and wellness lifestyle.
How It Works
That’s where I first found out about the Woodhouse Day Spa in Franklin, TN. Which is only about 20 minutes from me. So I booked two of the $50 specials:
- Woodhouse Swedish Massage with Kneipp Botanical Oil Blends
- Soothing Woodhouse Facial with Rich Nutrient Blend and Calming Mask
A Little About The Woodhouse Day Spa
We invite you to a serene environment that will invigorate and transform you. With over 70 spa treatments to choose from you are able to relax, unwind and revitalize, while enhancing your five senses. So relax and let the first step you take to the perfect balance of mind, body and spirit be the one that brings you inside to experience The Woodhouse Day Spa.
We’ve also made gift giving simple by creating unique packages especially for stress relief and renewal. Make it simple, and give the gift that never fails…
As soon as you walk inside The Woodhouse it’s like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have entered a serene oasis. I was welcomed with smiles and led back to the locker room to change into my nice soft robe, comfy spa slippers, and even had a warm neck wrap.
I was then led to the relaxation room. Lots of wood, comfy chairs and couches. A Roaring fire to set the scene. The room was also filled with many magazines, some cucumber/lemon water, and some nice snacks. I grabbed a nutrigrain bar and then my hot spice Cinnamon tea arrived. I’m not a big hot tea drinker, but sitting there all comfy in front of the fire I felt the tension begin to leave and I relaxed.
Time for my facial! A classic facial customized just for you. Restore clarity and radiance with this introductory facial. Your skin care expert will assist you in tailoring a facial to get the results you want. I was a little nervous as this was my very first facial. (I know I know) but the technician was amazing. She explained to me what she was doing and used aromatherapy to help open up my sinuses which since it’s April in TN that was just what I needed. I was worried that the extractions would hurt…they didn’t. I was peaceful and after my skin felt smoother than ever. To this day it’s still soft and I think I need to keep getting facials. Especially when I travel a lot.
Next up. My 50 Minute Swedish Massage. A full body massage with light to moderate pressure. This classic stress-relieving massage utilizes long, flowing strokes to reduce tension, increase circulation and induce relaxation. Great to unwind or as an introductory massage. I absolutely adore a good massage. Since I work from hom I’m behind a desk sitting at the computer for hours a day. So my shoulders and lower back are always a little sore. Let me tell you….I’ve had massages upon massages before. The Woodhouse Swedish Massage with Kneipp Botanical Oil Blends is 100% my most favorite one I’ve ever had. My technician concentrated on my “problem” area and I could feel the tension leaving my body. 50 minutes is just enough time to completely relax. Let them work your kinks out and once your done you feel like jelly and are refreshed.
As I was leaving I looked around at all the merchandise. Some of the lotions and nail polishes are on my list for gifts later this year. I will definitely be back and if you in the Middle Tennessee area I recommend you stop by The Woodhouse of Franklin.
