Communities across the United States and Canada answered the call from State Farm to help create a positive impact in their community and submitted 4,000 causes as part of this year’s State Farm Neighborhood Assist. Now the top 200 causes have been selected by the State and they need your “assist” to help vote them into the top 40. From April 28 through May 16, anyone who has the free State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook application can vote daily for their favorite cause, or causes, and help bring $25,000 to the top 40 vote getters.
YOU Can Help a Community
Growing up I’ve always wanted to help those less fortunate than myself, but didn’t quite know how. As I’ve grown up and had my own family I’ve tried to instill in them the importance of being selfless and helping out in their communities. We’ve done habitat for humanity as a family, Shared old books with local schools, Helped out at homeless shelters around the holidays, and more. That’s why I was excited to help promote State Farm’s Neighborhood Assist program. It’s bringing the help back to local communities.
I voted through the facebook app and found out I could vote for a soup kitchen from my hometown of McMinnville, TN.
Helping Hands Ministry, HHM, is a 501(c)3 public charity which is made possible by public donations. HHM is located at 216 East Main Street McMinnville, Warren County, TN. HHM ,is a food pantry that provides a helping hand to the community by supplying food once a month to families in need. This grant will help open our County’s first Community Soup Kitchen. We have the space already allocated to meet maximum occupancy of 80 individuals.
I would love for them to be on of the communities chosen to get a grant. Make sure your voice is heard: https://apps.facebook.com/sf_neighbor_assist/
