Sometimes on a vacation it’s all about trying new things. Then you will be walking around and you see a familiar sign. One that reminds you of home. The entire family saw the Wendy’s sign in Key West and the kids immediately asked for a Frosty. After all, what is better on a hot day? So we all went inside and ordered various sizes and sat down to relax for a moment. We began talking about our grand Florida Keys Vacation and the memories we had made. We went round robin and stated how favorite things we had done:
Isabella: “My favorite was parasailing. I was sooo scared, but it was AWESOME!”
Gabriel: “I liked snorkeling. I was scared of the jellyfish at first, but when we swam way out and saw the statue that was my favorite.”
Dad: “I’d say my favorite was watching the kids faces while they were parasailing. Epic”
Mom: “My favorite was just enjoying time with my family”
We spent maybe a total of 30 minutes inside, but the connecting and bonding over our memories from the trip while savoring a nice Frosty was priceless.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption
For 22 years, Wendy’s® has supported foster care adoption In 1990, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s®, accepted President George H.W. Bush’s invitation to be the spokesperson for a national adoption awareness campaign. Just two years later, Dave established The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® as a non-profit public charity with one primary goal: to help every child in foster care find a loving, permanent family. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® believes that we have a responsibility to be the voice of foster care adoption, so that every child finds a family. As founder Dave Thomas said, “These children are not someone else’s responsibility. They are our responsibility.” The DTFA exist to find homes for children who are waiting to be adopted from foster care in North America.
Thanks to Wendy’s® consumers and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®, 4,000+ children have found adoptive families.
So hop on over to Wendy’s grab a Frosty and have a chat with your family. You can grab a Halloween book on your way out and help a great cause too. It’s a win win for everyone.
