Time for day 4 of our EXCLUSIVE #AntManEvent Coverage from the Set Visit last year in Atlanta. Today we are focusing on THE adorable Child Star who’s everywhere right now: Abby Ryder Fortson. Little Miss Abby has been EVERYWHERE lately. You may have seen her in Togetherness, Transparent, or the new uber creepy The Whispers, but she plays the daughter of Ant-Man himself: Cassie. ( Yes, I might be biased in how much I like her screen name, but hey it happens) I’m so proud of how much Abby has done in such a short time. Way back when I first met her on the set of Ant-Man us Mommy Bloggers were her very first interview!
Q: I have a little girl and she’s five and she wants to know who your favorite Disney princess is.
Q: Is that who you were for Halloween by any chance?
Abby: No. ‘Cause I don’t have the outfit and it’s like 100, a 200 dollars on one like thing.
Q: What were you for Halloween?
Abby: A witch. A scary witch! [MAKES SCARY GESTURE] [LAUGHTER] Owww. Well, I was like, both kind of witches. I was kinda like a witch from a movie and she was my cat and well, she’s a nice witch but my costume was from a bad witch.
Q: Well what’s your favorite part about making a movie?
Abby: Acting. [LAUGHS] I get to be all different kinds of people.
Q: Is Paul Rudd fun to work with?
Abby: Mm hmm. And he’s actually [SING-SONGY] koo-koo!! [GROUP LAUGHS]
Q: How long have you been acting?
Abby: Since I was four years old. (I’m) Six.
Which Disney movies are your favorite?
Abby: Like Mary Poppins, I have Frozen, um, what else do I have? We don’t actually have a lot of kid movies. They’re all like all scattered all over the house. It’s awesome.
Q: What did you think when you saw Paul in the Ant-Man suit?
Abby: It was actually really cool. I actually got to put on one of his gloves when I was at the Wardrobe. He had to wear this whole mask that had like a breathing thing at the end so he could breathe when he shrinked and they did, so they just, so he did it, they didn’t want it to be too heavy so they cut the mask part off. But they kept the breathing thing on but like this part off.
Q: Is Ant-Man your favorite superhero now?
Abby: Yeah. And Black Widow.
Q: Just one more question, how does it feel when you watch yourself like on TV and in movies, when you get to see the final product after you spend all that time acting?
Abby: I feel like happy. Yeah, I actually had the pilot CD of, I mean, D-V-D of [GROUP LAUGHS] The Whispers pilot.
Isn’t she just bees knees. Super cute and a wonder to watch! She has SO much talent for her to be as young as she is!
