One thing I wanted to do more of in 2016 was to journal during my travels. The only problem was that I want to share them with you guys too. So I figure after each adventure I’ll just post an entry with my rants, musings, and observations. Maybe you guys will like it….maybe it’s just mindless dribble. Who knows, but I’m excited to share some entries while I was traveling to LA both trips over the past 2 weeks 3/22-3/25. Play catch up and read previous entries: #TravelJournal2016
How Do I Do It All
A few ppl have asked me this particular question over the past few weeks and I wanted to take a moment on my Travel Journal for some real talk. To be perfectly honest I don’t. I’m a normal human being who tries to do it all, but things fall through the cracks someties. My goal is to try to be present wherever I am.
These 2 kiddos are my heart. When I’m home that’s it. I’m home. Yes, I’m working while they are at school, but we try to take mini adventures while I’m home. Sometimes that means just a fun dinner and a couple of hours chilling at the book store. Sometimes that means the entire family all curling up in the bed to binge watch The Walking Dead or something else. Sometimes it’s making silly videos and other it’s just being in the same house and doing our own thing. Quality time is the way our family shows love.
This man is my soulmate. He loves me for me. Craziness and all. He’s my biggest supporter and my best friend. Without him my life would be something different. He anchors me. I would me lost and adrift. If I’m unsure of a trip he lays out all the pros and cons and we make decisions together. He’s the glue that holds us together.
Now, with all that being said are there disagreements? Yes. Are there normal sibling rivalry? Yes. We are just a normal family like everyone else. The way we approach my job is that it’s not a 9-5 job. While Brian goes to work daily and is off 2 days a week; I go in a few days a month. Some months are more extreme, but we work it out. It’s not for everyone. It works for us because we make it work.
The great thing about my job is that I can work wherever I am. I sneak off to finish my posts. I’m on my phone during dinner and conversations multitasking my social media posts. Some days are easier than others. Bottom line is I love my family and am blessed that they support my passion in life as a blogger and social media influencer. The only thing you can do is try and take it one day at a time. PLus, without all you guys and you coming to my site or liking my social media I wouldn’t be here. So from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for allowing me this space to share my rambles. xo
