This year I attended the Mom 2.0 Summit and it was everything I had hoped it to be. For the past few years, I’d been struggling to find a conference that fit me. I was attending quite a few, but after each and everyone I still wasn’t 100% completely satisfied with the takeaway. I had heard from a few different bloggers that Mom 2.o was the place to be. So when the chance arose for me to attend as a Kia Ambassador I said, “Heck yeah!”
I’ll admit the night before I left I had the pre-conference jitters and anxiety. What if I wore the wrong thing? What if no one like me? What if I don’t succeed at supporting Kia as an ambassador? Even though I travel a lot and represent brands I still get the night before jitters. So after a bit of sleep and all of the normal airport struggles I was glad that Kia was there to help bloggers get to their hotels in style:

The setting sure helped. When I arrived at the hotel and saw Laguna Beach for the first time I was captivated. THIS was beautiful! It was serene. I was excited about spending my next few days there connecting with other bloggers and being inspired. Time to get ready for fun!
The quote above captured by @Mom2Summit sums up everything I wanted to say. Everywhere I turned I saw parenting bloggers of all sorts and sizes. Not only that but everyone I talked to truly wanted to get to know me and my passions in life and I genuinely felt the same. This was a place of where bloggers and social media influencers could come together and build each other up. Every session I went to inspired me. Every booth I stopped at I felt like the brand was engaged and wanted to hear my story. Then there was the Iris awards which left my heart full of joy and had me even MORE inspired. I loved seeing and hearing my friends and people I admire who have worked so hard at building this space we have a community win.

Last, but surely not least was my work as a Kia Ambassador. This was my first event helping connect bloggers and influencers with the brand and where I could share my passion about why Kia is a brand that I love working with and is a fit for me. I met soooo many new people. We took fun photos, crazy tribe headshots, had an adventure at the Ecology Center one night, learned all about Kia’s CSR partners, and took a few trips to the beach to show off the featured vehicles Kia had brought.
All in all it was a great trip. I saw some familiar faces, met some incredible new friends and already have plans to attend next year. If you are a blogger or social media influencer I know there are lots of different conferences to choose from, but you should definately take time to check out Mom 2.0 at least once. I promise you will love it!
