It’s not often that I can bring my family along on press trips, but the Kia #SedonaFamily trip was all about Family. We took a trip from Orlando to the Kennedy Space Center in the Kia Sedona and had a fantastic day.
We chatted with Space Shuttle Astronauts: Don Thomas and Jon Mcbride who gave us a few Fun Facts!
"The FIRST man or woman who will set foot onMars is between 6-16 right now!"- from the mouths of astronauts #SedonaFamily

After the fun Q&A we had an opportunity to take a family picture with the Astronauts so of course we were all smiles!
Then it was time to go explore on our own. There is SO much to do at the Visitor Complex you could really spend an entire day just looking at everything.
Here you can experience the very same Redstone, Atlas and Titan rockets that first put NASA astronauts in space, or climb aboard Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules – and get an idea of the cramped quarters America’s astronaut pioneers endured.
Enjoy the Astronaut Encounter and hear firsthand about space travel from veteran astronauts.
Then we boarded a bus tour and checked out the LC-39 Observation Gantry, Vehicle Assembly Building, Launch Control Center, Apollo/Saturn V Center, Launch Pad LC-39A, and Launch Pad LC-39B. What’s so special about the launchpads?
C-39B supported its first space shuttle launch in 1986. Along with LC-39A, the complexes have launched more than 100 Space Shuttle missions through 2011.
It was neat hearing about all of our cool space expeditions and seeing rockets, shuttles and such. I’ve only seen them on TV so it was awe inspiring how HUGE they were.
Overall we had a great family day at Kennedy Space Center. I recommend it to any family that would be in the area or even in Orlando because it was just a short hour drive away and it was well worth it.
