I absolutely love living in Tennessee. Even more so I love exploring the area around me. Tennessee has so much to offer. On a recent road trip from Atlanta to Nashville with Kia I was able to check out Arrington Vineyards for the first time and actually get down and dirty with wine. All while testing out the Kia Optima.
About Arrington Vineyards
Arrington Vineyards opened its doors July 1, 2007. Since then, we have been providing a “wine country experience” of award winning wines set among the picturesque rolling hills of middle Tennessee. Owned by country music artist Kix Brooks, winemaker Kip Summers, and entrepreneur John Russell, Arrington Vineyards has truly become “Nashville’s Wine Country”.
Like most people, I’ve had a flirtation with wine. I had a few “go to” wines. Mainly sweeter wines like Moscato or Riesling, but I’ve never actually been to w wine tasting or understood wine pairings. All of that changed at Arrington Vineyards where we tried the “AV Premier Experience”
What is the AV Premier Experience
This memorable private tasting option takes place in our charming Wine Loft, overlooking our vineyards and the hills beyond. Our Master Vintner, Kip Summers, has selected 5 of our award winning wines for you to taste; paired with gourmet cheeses and seasonal items, all prepared by Simply Living Life.
The AV Premier Experience begins with a guided walking tour of AV’s Barrel House and Wine Production Facility, which blew me away.
With just a few machines…ok GIGANTIC machines. Making wine has been simplified, but still takes quite awhile to perfect. From everything to presses that crush the grapes and weed out stems to even more complicated machines, Arrington has a process that leads to perfection.
AV’s Estate Hostess guided us through the wine pairing; providing you with a fun and unique wine experience. I came away with a new found respect for the process and a new favorite…BLACKBERRY WINE is the bees knees.
If you are ever in the Middle Tennessee area you should definitely check out Arrington Vineyards. It’s a hop, skip, and a jump away from Nashville and worth it. I now have a favorite wine and an appreciation for a local area.
